On the January 4, 2025, Justin paid lobola to the Ndawonde family. This is known as the bride price. It is a traditional marriage payment practiced by many South African tribes.

It involves the groom's family making a payment to the bride's family, typically in the form of cattle or money, before a marriage can take place.

While often misunderstood as a purchase of the bride, lobola is viewed as a symbol of respect, a demonstration of commitment, and a way to bring the two families together.
This was Nandiwe's Umemulo celebrated in 2018. A traditional coming-of-age ceremony gifted to her by her parents, marking an important milestone to womanhood and availing her for marriage.
